A crtitique of Brill’s “Class Warfare”

It’s not often I would describe a book on education reform as a page-turner, but Steven Brill’s book Class Warfarekept me engaged late into the night. I thought “Wow, someone has finally described some of the political battles underlying the current reform wars.”
Brill’s book is a dramatic rendering of a few of the characters (friends like Joe Williams and Mike Johnston) and the work undertaken to reform public education in this country.
