Why won’t IEA President Cinda Klickna support rank and file efforts to defend our pension?

Pension blogger and activist Glen Brown created an online petition calling for a revenue solution to the pension issue. Thousands have signed, including Dan Montgomery of the Illinois Federation and other members of the We Are One Coalition. But not only has IEA President Cinda Klickna not signed it, she responded to Glen’s request to have it linked to our IEA website (I believe it the member’s website – not Cinda’s or Communications Director McBarron’s) with a clear and resounding “no.”
Glen addresses the why of Cinda’s refusal on his blog, which I have printed in full below.
I’ll have more to say about IEA leadership in coming days.
Why doesn’t the Illinois Education Association join our efforts and post our public employees’ petition on its Website? Perhaps it is because the Illinois We Are One Coalition is planning a “summit” with a few, thus far, unsuspecting legislators (like Elaine Nekritz, for example, “who [said
