South Carolina superintendent prepares for education depression
South Carolina Superintendent of Education Jim Rex is warning the state that education is going to get worse in the coming years. That’s horrible news for a state that’s already among the worst in the nation when it comes to education.
The reason for the poor outlook is because of a budget battle in which legislators are having trouble coming up with the money to fund even the most critical areas of government and public service.
Rex stated, “There are no good options left. We knew we were going to be in trouble –now we are in trouble, and now we’re being told that we don’t have enough time to address it in this legislative session.”
