Now musicians from Facebook murder victim Delfino Mora’s adopted Chicago neighborhood of West Rogers Park are getting together to help out his widow and 12 children.A free benefit concert for Mora’s family will be held from 5 p.m. on August 12 at McKellin’s Pub, 2800 West Touhy, not far from the alley where the 62-year-old Mora was fatally punched on camera July 10.
Attorney Matt Farmer said he and his band, the Blue State Cowboys, organized the fundraiser after reading about Mora’s “remarkable” life and his tragic death.
Though Farmer did not know Mora personally, he shops in the supermarket where Mora’s daughter Angelica works and felt moved to act.
“I’ve come to the realization over time that it’s better to do something than nothing,” he
