Online Class Requirement Another Unfunded Mandate in Florida
For an old republican war-horse like me, I’m always grateful to be sitting down when I realize I agree with the ACLU. Florida’s new mandate that all students are required to take one online course to graduate provides one such moment:
A new state law that requires Florida high school students to take a class online is causing cash-strapped school districts to spend millions on new computers.
