Pa. school district teachers OK 6-year contract
SAXONBURG, Pa.—Teachers in one southwestern Pennsylvania school district have a new 6-year contract nearly two years, and two teachers strikes, since their old deal expired.
Teachers and the South Butler County School Board approved the deal Tuesday. The contract is retroactive to July 1, 2008 and runs through June 30, 2014.
The district says it will save $1.2 million over the next four years, due to changes in teacher health care benefits
