All 11 charters recommended for renewal
At today's School Reform Commission meeting, the SRC will be voting on staff recommendations to give five-year renewals to all 11 charters up for renewal. Stay tuned for more news.
Resolutions authorizing the renewals have still not been released, but a staff presentation indicates that the charter renewals include specific academic performance targets for each school, an annual school report card and a performance index based on the one used for District schools.

In an unusual move, the School District has assigned one of its top, veteran administrators, Marilyn Perez, to serve as principal of Edison High School next fall. Perez is currently regional superintendent for the Central Region.
