Coppell school board votes to stop ranking high school students beyond top 10 percent

The Coppell school board voted Monday to stop ranking high school students who fall below the top 10 percent beginning in the next school year.
Trustees voted 7-0 to make the change. Two other affluent and academically competitive school districts nearby, Highland Park and Carroll, already have made similar changes.
