Sacramento City Schools Will Vote On Cuts - KTXL:

"SACRAMENTO - The Sacramento City Unified School District board will vote on Thursday night on millions of dollars in proposed budget cuts. The cuts include the lay offs of 435 teachers and other staff.

If the cuts are approved, they would go into effect next year.

Superintendent Jonathan P. Raymond says the district is facing a nearly $31 Million gap in the 2010-11 budget.

The meeting is Thursday night at 6:30 at district headquarters: 5735 47th Ave."
