SACS2013ALL Software (Updated October 18, 2013)
Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS) financial reporting software used by local educational agencies in preparing budgets, interim reports, and year-end financial reports to the California Department of Education (CDE).The SACS2013ALL software contains the components necessary to prepare the 2013–14 budget and interim reports and the 2012–13 unaudited actual reports. This special October 18, 2013 updated version includes the minimum changes needed for the 2013–14 interim reports due to the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). See the Details of SACS2013ALL Software Update section below for a description of changes. Note that the User Guide was not updated in this release. CDE is working through the remaining details of the new funding formula and will include additional LCFF-related changes in next year’s SACS2014 and SACS2014ALL software.
BEFORE INSTALLING THIS SOFTWARE:
YOU MUST FIRST EXPORT ALL DATA FROM YOUR EXISTING SACS2013ALL SOFTWARE,
FOR ALL REPORTING PERIODS,
BECAUSE THE DATA WILL BE PERMANENTLY DELETED.

The installation of this software first uninstalls your existing SACS2013ALL software (version 2013.2.0), permanently deleting all data that was imported or keyed, for all reporting periods. The deletion of the data is irreversible. We strongly recommend exporting all data from your existing SACS2013ALL software before installing this updated version. After the data is exported, the exported .dat files can later be used to import the data into the updated SACS2013ALL software (version 2013.2.1).

Before beginning the download, export all data, for all reporting periods, from your existing SACS2013ALL software. Store the exported .dat files in any known subdirectory other than C:\SACS2013ALL.
Identify (or create) a clean subdirectory into which you will download the sacs2013allsetup2.exe zipped file. Right-click on the sacs2013allsetup2.exe link above, select "save link as" (or "save target as" or "copy to folder"), then select the subdirectory into which the sacs2013allsetup2.exe file will be downloaded.
Once the file has been downloaded, use Windows Explorer to find the sacs2013allsetup2.exe file, then double-click on the file and follow the prompts to install the software.
When the SACS software is installed on your computer, the financial reporting calendars and the SACS Software User Guide will be automatically copied into your C:\SACS2013ALL\Calendars and Manuals subdirectory. To find the financial reporting calendars and the SACS2013ALL Software User Guide, use Windows Explorer and navigate to your C:\SACS2013ALL\Calendars and Manuals subdirectory. In addition, to help make the software easier to use, the SACS Software User Guide is accessible from the Help menu and also from within the forms and processes in the software by pressing F1.
Import your stored .dat files into the newly installed SACS2013ALL software.
Note Regarding Windows 7: Some users have reported problems running the SACS software on Windows 7 PCs. A workaround has been posted to the SACS2013ALL Software: Known Problems/Fixes Web page.
The sacs2013setup2.exe file above contains the most current validation tables at the time the software was released, dated October 18, 2013. Any subsequent validation table updates will need to be downloaded and added to the software. TheValidation Tables page contains software update instructions.
Details of SACS2013ALL Software Update
The following describes the changes made to the SACS2013ALL Software October 18, 2013 update. This updated version includes the minimum changes needed for the 2013–14 interim reports due to the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Note that only the interim reporting periods were modified, and the User Guide was not updated to reflect these changes. CDE is working through the remaining details of the new funding formula and will include additional LCFF-related changes in next year’s SACS2014 and SACS2014ALL software.
