Why Does Corporate Ed "Reform" and Arne Duncan Love the GA Model for Early Childhood?
Today the President is in Georgia trying to sell the corporate plan that he has bought for early childhood education in America. Everyone at ED is hot for the Georgia Model. Why?
Could it have anything to do with the fact that Georgia does not require a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, or even a Bachelors Degree? Could it be related to Georgia's market friendly model that allows programs to sprout from most any dedicated edupreneur with a business plan? Could it have anything to do with the fact that less prepared teachers make them more dependent upon the menu of corporate solutions that are being marketed across the state?
