Notes From Rogers Park
Swamped.
But I managed to sneak in some free learning courtesy of Occupy Rogers Park, which held its first-in-a-series teach-in today at the Rogers Park branch library. The great William Watkins gave a talk in which he put the now-status-quo ed reform movement into the larger context of neo-liberalism. It was highly informative, and totally free. Thank you, Occupy Rogers Park.
With free programming like this, you almost have to go out of your way to remain stubbornly ignorant. Speaking of.... Matthew Yglesias wrote this moronic bullshit in Slate. Leave it to Yglesias to know better than the actual Texas educators who are in the actual classrooms of actual Texas
