CHICAGO PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS ARE MIRACLE WORKERS ?
Preliminary results on the Illinois Standards Achievement Test show that 74.2 percent of Chicago Public School students met or exceeded state standards.
WOW ! Are you kidding me ? That’s amazing ! Either CPS teachers are miracle workers or these tests are extremely easy. I would like to think it’s that the teachers are very good at what they do.
There are thousands of students in the Chicago Public Schools who are either chronically truant, or are in gangs, come from horrible family situations, live in extreme poverty and terrible neighborhoods, have virtually no early childhood help at home, are pregnant, on drugs, involved in crime, on probation or occasionally suspended from school, have diagnosed or undiagnosed learning disabilities, speak limited English, have inadequate supplies, no computer at home, have incredibly incompetent parents, have never known a father, are raised by overburdened
