Sesame Street is hands-down the best children’s program on television today, and it has been basically since its inception. It’s tackled all sorts of important issues, from racial diversity to the importance of the letter “E” and the number “4.”
Now, the producers of Sesame Street are tackling one of the most important, and most depressing, issues of our time: hunger. Specifically, they’re tackling the problem of hungry children in America, something that shouldn’t even exist in the wealthiest nation in the history of the world but does.
