Matt Damon Joins Other Supporters in the ‘Save Our Schools March’

With summer coming to a close and students getting ready for school, actors including Matt Damon and Richard Dreyfuss are joining the Save Our Schools March and National Call to Action in Washington, D.C.

The rally includes a four day conference held on July 28-31 with a march to the White House on July 30. Families, parents and students are marching in what may be the most visible push-back against the public school “reform” movement.

Speakers and participants include educators and authors such as Jonathan Kozol, Linda Darling-Hammond and Pedro Noguera. Diverse groups like the United Church of Christ Justice and the National Association of Secondary School Principals are avid supporters for the cause, along with teacher unions such as the American Federation of Teachers and the National Education Association.
