Several media outlets including the LA Times have reported on a new Berkeley study showing eye-openingly high annual teacher turnover rates at LA-area charter networks. But at least one of them, Green Dot, says that the report may overstate the real numbers. CEO Marco Petruzzi claims that Green Dot's annual teacher retention rate varies between 82- and 86 percent, compared to the 50 percent cited in the Berkeley report.
