Few complying with new immunization law, school officials say

Sacramento City Unified School District is offering free vaccines for tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis to sixth- through 11th-grade students starting Friday.
State law will require middle and high school students to provide proof of vaccination before entering school in September.
Sacramento City Unified officials said less than 10 percent of parents have submitted proof that their child's shot record is up to date. Shot records should be turned in to school officials.
