Pauline Lipman: Advice to the New Superintendent
Pauline Lipman, professor of educational policy at UIC, offers some advice to the incoming superintendent of Chicago Public Schools, and it sounds like Rahm is doubling down on his choice.
Lipman makes a number of excellent points here, all of which will be totally ignored by the incoming superintendent, because we all know the only thing that matters is teacher behavior. The regulation of teacher behavior absolves policymakers of the responsibility to address the decimation of our neighborhoods.
