New Emanuel Ad Provides Fresh Grist
Ahead of what is being described as a major budget-platform announcement scheduled for Tuesday, Rahm Emanuel released his latest campaign television ad, in which he states that “city government is not an employment agency.”
Miguel del Valle, a rival mayoral candidate who lacks the campaign cash for a television ad, scoffed when told of his rival’s new spot.
“I find it interesting,” Mr. del Valle, the city clerk, said. “It was the patronage system in the city of Chicago that got him elected to Congress in 2002.”
