But according to a recent report released by the National Council on Teacher Quality, U.S. education programs are not preparing teachers for the classroom.
The data shows that fewer than one in nine programs for future elementary teachers actually properly prepare teachers to educate their students. The study's methodology and claims have received some criticism, but we still ask the question: what makes a phenomenal teacher?
