In a news article today, the Hartford Courant examines the effort to develop home-grown teacher evaluation plans…But the Courant article fails to explore or discover why the Malloy administration added new legislative language to limit the rights of parents, teachers, boards of education and local towns during the recent legislative session.
The Hartford Courant’s education reporter, Kathy Megan, writes about how some Connecticut communities are working to develop their own teacher evaluation programs rather than having to adopt the state’s more unfair and complex system.
The Courant writes, “Over the past few months, school systems have been developing their own versions of evaluation plans that will used for many teachers in the fall.
