In the November election the voters of Illinois will be asked to discriminate against public employees in the state of Illinois. State sponsored discrimination !  What next ?  Yes, there will be a ballot question asking whether or not voters want to pass an amendment that would require a three-fifths vote in the General Assembly before any pension benefits could be increased in Illinois. Three-fifths is of course more than the normal majority required vote.
How do you feel now, my fellow public employees ?  This is targeted directly at you. I can’t ever remember a group of working people being the target of a change in the Constitution just to limit their rights. I can’t think of anything in the Illinois or the United States Constitution like this. Don’t you feel special now ?  This would put
