CODE: Working Toward Democracy
Meet Darius Anderson, a sophomore at Dunbar Vocational Career Academy. Darius was in the Ravenswood area this afternoon, helping volunteers kick of CODE's effort to put an advisory referendum on the November ballot in favor of an elected school board. You know, the vote. Enfranchisement. Young people attending our public schools in the city are acutely aware that their families have no voice in the decisions that get made.
