School supporters rally at San Leandro High on Tuesday
Almost 200 people came out in support of Tuesday’s rally in front of San Leandro High School to protest state budget cuts to education and to urge the California legislature to approve the tax extensions instead of making deep funding cuts to schools.
Participants included educators, parents, school board trustees, district officials, Superintendent Cindy Cathey, Mayor Stephen Cassidy and Councilmember Jim Prola.
