Karen Lewis--Issues of Race, Gender, Class

Karen Lewis tells it like it is--- there are the reasons for the way teachers are compensated, and all of the little faddish fixes that are trumpeted by the corporate reform crowd aren't going to amount to a hill of beans. Unless, you make that hill of beans very small, very segregated, and ultimately very meaningless.



The notion that people still talk about how race, gender, and class have an impact on basic fairness and equity in the workplace must sound like so much hippie freak nonsense to the new mayor because those concepts are totally not part of the Democratic establishment any more.
