Bob Somerby runs the web site www.dailyhowler.com. About half of his writing is media criticism, and lately he has been attacking the liberal media. Much of what he says is true, but I suspect that some of it is bitterness based on the shoddy, even libelous treatment the media gave Al Gore in 1999 and 2000. Somerby and Gore were college roommates.
However, his writing on education is superb. It is his field of expertise, and like Michelle Rhee, he taught in the Baltimore public schools.
