From Rochester to Chicago, reports — old and new — on Mayor-elect Rahm Emanuel's choice for CPS' chief executive have emerged as a hot topic online this week. Newtips looks at Jean-Claude Brizard and his record with Rochester, N.Y., schools, and Emanuel's "most noteworthy appointment to the board of education," Penny Pritzker. Tim Louis Macaluso of the City Newspaper in Rochester, N.Y., reported in 2010 on Brizard's three years at the helm of the Rochester City School District.
