Cc: Outspoken others... like Bill Gates, Jeb Bush, Rick Hess, Eric Hanushek, Michelle Rhee...New York Times and Washington Post editorial boards...some big-city mayors...Republican governors and legislatures...all those who say that merit pay is the new miracle panacea that will transform the American public education system. Merit pay: teachers should be compensated and their contracts renewed by how well their students perform on standardized tests.
