Teachers union wary of voucher talk as Scott takes office

On the eve of Florida Gov.-elect Rick Scott's inauguration, some teachers are more than a little antsy about his proposed education reforms.
They fear they may be in for a battle over merit pay, teacher tenure, and the real biggie -- school vouchers for all students.
Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association President Kim Black, though, is offering a conciliatory tone.
"We're certainly going to work to have a relationship with this administration," Black said. But she cautioned, "The recommendations coming out of his education transition team are concerning."
