Convention snub still rankles NJ teacher union

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.—New Jersey's state teachers' union was still rankled Friday over a snub by the state's acting education commissioner.

Acting Education Commissioner Rochelle Hendricks earlier this week rejected an invitation to speak at the New Jersey Education Association's annual convention, saying the union has opposed Gov. Chris Christie's proposed changes.
