Charter Schools Slammed at Education Forum

Front and center at last Sunday’s Brooklyn education forum, titled “Public Education Under Attack,” was the controversial issue of charter schools, which were a punching bag from the opening bell.
The most sweeping criticism of charter schools at the forum, held by the Central Brooklyn Independent Democrats at Union Temple on Eastern Parkway, came from a parent and education activist whose own daughter is enrolled in a charter school.
