Folsom Cordova school district joins lawsuit against state
Folsom Cordova Unified School District is one of nine districts that jointly filed a lawsuit today against the state of California asking that the current education finance structure be declared unconstitutional.
The California School Boards Association, California State PTA, Association of California School Administrators and a group of more than 60 individual students and families are also a part of the coalition that filed the lawsuit.
The case, Robles-Wong, et al. v. State of California was filed this morning in the Superior Court of California in Alameda County. The plaintiffs are asking the state to scrap its existing finance system and properly fund the education programs required by the state.
