Associated Press photographer Anja Niedringhaus was killed in Afghanistan on Friday, apparently gunned down by an Afghan policeman. She and Kathy Gannon, a Canadian journalist, were shot while traveling in a government convey as they covered preparations for the Afghanistan presidential election on Saturday.
