Dad Chastises Louisiana House Education Committee for Common Core Vote
The Louisiana House Education committee on Tuesday scrapped HB 558 introduced by State Representative Cameron Henry (R-Metarie) on a 12-7 vote. They also voted down HB 381 introduced by State Representative Brett Geymann (R-Lake Charles) which would have created a Student Standards Commission to develop state standards for required subjects for public school students that would also eliminate the Common Core.

Mr. Wood wrote an excellent email to the members of the Louisiana House Education Committee (shared with his permission).
