One adult bully trashes a child’s lunch X 30 children = SLCSD

Imagine an adult bully trashing an innocent child’s lunch. Openly. In front of all the other children who looked on helplessly.
Bully and lunch moneyNow imagine that it happened in an affluent American city that is the home site of a cathedral for a major religion. Over 30 children suffered this abuse and humiliation.
Really. No need to imagine.
When has this incredible abuse of children become condoned by the adults who are supposed to be in charge? Responsible adults? Elected officials and their paid appointees and employees? Since parents are now forced to protect their children from the abuse of high stakes testing, are parents now expected to protect their children from lunch stealing administrative bullies?
As incredible as it may seem, and in addition to the U.S. House of Representatives cutting food stamps for the children of America’s unemployed citizens, this happened.
In spite of the softened headline given by some news sources, these were not necessarily “poor” children. White children. Not poor. Humiliated and denied their normal lunches. A new FIRST, and nothing to brag about in our socially and racially prejudiced society.
