"It's About Time"

UTLA will be holding a mass “It’s About Time” rally outside LAUSD headquarters beginning at 4 p.m. and making our demands at 5 p..m on November 13.
UTLA member participation is key. LAUSD will not willingly hand over a raise. Power concedes nothing without a fight. They need to see us out in the streets, with our colleagues, fighting for what we deserve.
"It’s about time" the District recognizes our financial sacrifices during the recession. "It’s about time" LAUSD bureaucrats stop wasting new funding from Prop. 30 on their pet projects. "It’s about time" teachers, and health and human services professionals get a pay raise.
It has been nearly seven years since our members have had a raise.
UTLA’s salary demand is simple: a salary increase for this year that fairly reflects the additional funding coming in from Proposition 30 and that begins paying employees back for the sacrifices we made during the recession to keep this District afloat.

- Rally will begin at 4 p.m and we make our demands at 5 p.m. outside LAUSD Building.
Transportation Info
- For those planning to drive to Beaudry, UTLA has secured free parking with Athena parking at 450 S. Boylston between 4th & 5th streets from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. google map it
Metro: UTLA will be providing a limited number of free passes for use on the Red Line and Expo Line for those travelling to the Beaudry School Board headquarters for the Salary Rally: tickets are first-come, first-served.

Please wear UTLA red, to identify yourself as a UTLA member. After you sign in, a UTLA staff person or volunteer will provide you a round-trip ticket. Exit at the Metro Center and at the corner of 7th and Figueroa, take the Dash F bus to the Beaudry building.
