To improve and create more effective resources, whole child partner National School Climate Center, in partnership with whole child partner Character Education Partnership and the National Dropout Prevention Center/Network, is invested in assessing and understanding educators' professional learning resources and needs in two ways:
- What policy resources, practice guidelines, best practices, tools, and leadership training have educators found most helpful to support effective implementation efforts or to sustain school climate improvement efforts?
- What kinds of policy resources, practice guidelines, best practices, tools, and leadership training do educators believe will be most helpful for them to advance a policy agenda?

The National School Climate Center believes that a school climate in which students feel safe and supported is one that is best suited to promote social, emotional, and academic growth. Through integration of social-emotional learning into the existing academic curriculum and collaboration with students, teachers, families, and mental health professionals, the center has developed and implemented important programs that guide schools to provide the best possible learning environment.
