Trustee Carla Ranger says Mike Miles’ statement on DISD investigation violates spirit of public information act
Dallas ISD Superintendent Mike Miles released a statement Sunday denying wrongdoing in awarding service contract. He also criticized the release of a DISD investigation into the handling of that contract before the report was completed and a conclusion was reached.
Trustee Carla Ranger, who posted the investigation on her blog over the weekend, took issue with his statement that the report shouldn’t be made public.
“In making this statement Superintendent Miles is expressing an arbitrary and self-serving viewpoint that that disregards the clear requirements of the Texas Public Information Act,” she wrote on her blog.
Miles called the district investigation incomplete. However, the second page of the report says it is the final version.
