Bob Haisman, Ken Swanson, and the whole IEA Cheerleading Squad emphasize that SB2404 is the best of all possible worlds because the elected Illinois Supreme Court members are – in realpolitik terms – in the pockets of party bosses.
Therefore, the Illinois Supremes would never declare SB1 as unconstitutional – never, cannot happen.
Now cheerleader Tully tells us that we little people will be safe because “SB 2404 has language

Thank you Bob for your summary of the past fights we have had. I also support SB 2404.
What benefits will anyone receive if the state is not mandated to make their pension payment every year? TRS will continue to have to sell assets to make the benefit payment to retired

My mom died in 1977 after a twelve year battle against Hodgkins disease.
I’m older now than she was when she died.
Parents tend not to share their pain and courage with their kids. At least my mom didn’t.
Ask her how she was doing and she was always doing fine. Even when she wasn’t doing fine.
Parents share the story of their lives before your arrival in little bits and pieces.
A passing mention in a dinner conversation.
Every parent – every mother – has a story that goes untold.
