Hello fellow DAC Members Many of you have heard about the District staff recommendation Board to approve a recommendation to close 11 elementary schools in the District.  The schools recommended for closure are: CB Wire Mark Hopkins Washington Tahoe Fruitridge James Marshall CP Huntington Susan B. Anthony Bret Harte Joseph Bonheim Maple On Tuesday, February 5th, from 6pm to 7:30pm, during the DAC Executive Board meeting, we will have a special presentation on the staff recommendation which was presented to the Board on January 17th.  The Board meeting actually starts ad 5:30pm and you are welcome to arrive at 5:30pm.  This will be one of a few opportunities for us to discuss this matter in detail and offer an informed advisory to the SCUSD Governing Board on our support or refusal to support the staff's recommendation. All DAC members (representatives of your school site council), parents, and community members are invited to attend and participate.  This issue will come before the Governing Board on Thursday February 7th and finally Thursday February 21st.  The DAC will discuss this issue on February 5th and February 12th.
