Former Englewood school secretaries not applying for outsourced jobs

ENGLEWOOD – None of the school secretaries who lost their job when the Board of Education outsourced nearly 100 positions has applied to the private staffing company hired to replace them.
Nevertheless, Mission One Educational Staffing Services has had no difficulty finding applicants willing to take their place for significantly less pay, said company President Kevin Bush.
Two of the district’s 24 secretaries have chosen to retire, and the rest would probably collect unemployment benefits rather than work for $100 a day for Mission One Educational Staffing Services, a head of their former union said.
