The $2 billion William Penn Foundation has funded the Philadelphia Student Union for 17 years.
However, the student union does not support the foundation’s radical plan to privatize large numbers of public schools in Philadelphia.
Surprise! The William Penn Foundation will no longer fund the Philadelphia Student Union.
William Penn, the large-hearted man for whom the foundation is named, would not approve.

Faux Florida Teacher, Principals and Parents PAC Driven by Profit Charter School Cash

A dubiously named PAC appeared on the scene late this spring. Teachers, Principals and Parents United for Florida Schools (TTP United) is run by Florida republican power broker, Nancy Watkins. who serves as treasurerfor at least 26 different PACs associated with state republicans.
There aren’t any teachers, principals or parents of Florida children involved with TTP United. Just a shadowy education management corp, a charter school executive and a company whose CEO is a board member of Jeb
