Policy Expert on For-Profit College Report Released Today
Washington, DC — Today, the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions released a comprehensive report detailing its findings from its two-year investigation into the for-profit higher education sector. The report provides a much-needed and long-overdue examination of an industry that has all too often put the interests of shareholders above the students they are supposed to be serving, according to the Education Policy Program at the New America Foundation.
Senior Policy Analyst Stephen Burd is available to comment on the report and discuss why greater oversight over the for-profit higher education industry is needed.
