More UTLA and LAUSD Collusion? The De Facto Tenure Scandal by Anonymous

A few years ago, somebody associated with UTLA filed a PERB charge against LAUSD alleging that LAUSD's Division of Adult and Career Education was out of compliance with State law with respect to tenure.It alleged that there were many non-tenured / non-permanent teachers who were given assignments over 18 hours (part-time) for a period exceeding 2 years and a day. UTLA claims that all those teachers who fell into that category deserve to be hired into the newly structured adult division as de facto tenured
