U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will join National Education Association (NEA) President Dennis Van Roekel for a Teachers Hall of Fame reception at the NEA headquarters at 5 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, May 8 at the NEA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. The National Teachers Hall of Fame, located in Emporia, Kansas, is a national organization that puts a spotlight on the vital role education plays in our nation. Since 1992, the Hall of Fame has held annual induction ceremonies for new honorees selected by a national committee. The Hall of Fame recognizes accomplishments of exceptional career teachers by documenting and displaying their work in their museum.
