Increasing class load bad for education
On February 8, the Oshkosh Board of Education will be voting on a proposal to increase the class load of secondary teachers in the district from five to six classes. This change will have a detrimental effect on the quality of our schools and result in the loss of over 30 teachers.
As a teacher at Oshkosh West High School, I have worked in the Oshkosh Area School District since the fall of 1993. The teachers that I've met in this district are passionate about what they do and put a lot of extra time into their profession. I am also extremely proud to have worked with such wonderful students and parents over these many years.
