Students, faculty to protest cuts as regents meet at UC Riverside
Groups of students and faculty are expected to protest Thursday on the second day of the UC regents meeting on the Riverside campus.
The protesters opposed the significant budget cuts imposed after the UC system's funding from the state was drastically limited. (The UC schools will receive $660 million less in state funds in the 2012-2013 school year than in it did two years before.)
But there was a dose of validation at Wednesday's portion of the meeting. A group of students called Fix UC
