Fred's got a post up about the general fishiness of the IEA Back Home Lobby Day, also known as No Lobby Day, or 401K's Are Coming Day, or We Give Up Day.

It all looks like a ramp-down to some Grand Compromise that's been recently laid out as a math problem by an influential person who name rhymes with Shmick Shmingram. It doesn't make sense to have a Lobby Day--- even if it's in a tent on a lawn--- when the members are interested in holding the line on pensions and the leadership feels that that particular ship has sailed.

Anyhoo, it all seems like a golden opportunity to move forward with the suggestion I keep making about "back-home lobbying." If it's such a good strategy, then it should be supported.
