“Is it really just two guys,” a colleague asks?
She was talking about Kyle Olson’s Education Action Group.
“Basically,” I say. “Plus a couple more staffers.”
“How do they get so much publicity?”
I explain that they’re backed by billionaires like the Koch brothers and the De Vos family. And they front for phony think tanks like the Mackinac Center for Public Policy. They have Fox and Andrew Breitbart.
“Maybe that’s what I’ll do when I retire. Become a think tank,” I say.
“You need a millionaire.”
