For students to be successful in school, they need their parents to be involved, the Riverside County Superintendent of Schools said Friday in opening the second annual Parent and Family Engagement Summit.
The event, which attracted hundreds of parent volunteers to Palm Springs, is part of an effort to raise awareness of and support for parents to be involved in their children’s education, he said.
